Wonderful highest mountains


 Nature has provided us with numerous places which one when seen make us realize about the power and sovereignty of God. Mountains have turned out to be the most distinctive among them as they provide us with scenery and a feeling of terror as well.
Godwin Austin (K-2)

K2, the second-highest mountain on Earth is located in the Karakoram segment of the Himalayan range region of the Pakistan administered Northern Areas. Its elevation is 8611 meter.

Kangchenjunga

Kanchenjunga translated means The Five Treasures of Snows, as it contains five peaks out of which four of them over 8,450 meters. It is located in Nepal and has an elevation of about 8586 meters.
Lhotse

This peak is connected to Mount Everest via the South Col. In addition to the main summit at 8,516 meters above sea level. The rises 3.2 km in only 2.25 km of horizontal distance makes it the steepest face of this size in the world.
Makalu I

Makalu is located 22 km east of Mount Everest, on the border between Nepal and Tibet. Makalu is an isolated peak whose shape is a four-sided pyramid. Its elevation is 8462 meters.
Cho Oyu

Cho Oyu means “Turquoise Goddess” in Tibetan. It lies 20 km west of Mount Everest, at the border between China and Nepal. Its elevation is 8201 meters.
Dhaulagiri

Dhaulagiri is the seventh highest mountain in the world. Dhaulagiri means “White Mountain”. It’s located in Nepal and has an elevation of 8165 meters.
Manaslu I

Manaslu is derived from the Sanskrit word Manasa and is translated as “Mountain of the Spirit” The subtle changes of the light on the ice of Manaslu are terrific, turning from grey to pink to orange to yellow. It’s located in Nepal and has an elevation of 8165 meters.
Nanga Parbat

Nanga Parbat means “Naked Mountain” which in Sanskrit means “killer Mountain”. It is located in Pakistan and has an elevation of 8125 meters. Luckily I have seen this peak from the very point this picture is taken. 
Annapurna I

Annapurna is a Sanskrit name which is translated has Goddess of Harvest. Annapurna I stand at 8091m, making it the 10th-highest summit in the world. The Annapurna peaks are among the world’s most dangerous mountains to climb, with a fatality rate of 40%.
Mount Everest 

The highest peak in the world, Mount Everest is also called Sagarmatha means Mother of the Universe or Goddess Mother of the Snows. It is located in Nepal and has an elevation of 8850 meters.
